Meet in the Middle

For this project, J, Gabe, and I met at the road separating Armington from the GLC to create our piece. When given the task to represent or transform the space in some way, we considered how we often see that space used. Even though it is not an actual stop, people around campus often choose this spot as a "pit stop" for loading and un-loading stuff, picking up and dropping off people, and chatting with friends they pass by in their car. From this observation and analysis, we decided to make  a visual of an "F1 Race" type pit stop that people driving by can interact with. While being a simple chalk drawing, I noticed that many people gave the work a second look, and I saw some partake in the activity of treating that spot as a pit stop.
